Single glazed.

Yes.

Heating House?
Wood and bottled gas.

Heating Water?
Wood and bottled gas.

Cooking method?
Wood and bottled gas.

Electricity?
Cheap, low-power, mains electric, only 1.15Kw, enough for low-voltage equipment (fridge, freezer, water pump, lights, PC. etc.), but not eg a kettle or washing machine. Ideal back-up for solar/ wind system, or could easily be upgraded to a normal power supply.

Water?
River water, pumped up to the cottage and 2 large irrigation tanks. There is no mains water or sewage in the area.

Food-production?
Large, fertile, field currently only used for hay, but previously cultivated with a variety of vegetables. Orchard, plus more fruit trees around the cottage: olive, orange, fig, plum, pear, peach, apple, nespera, and grape vines. Space for livestock.

Income-Possibilities?
It's more suited for a permanent home, rather than a business. Telephone and satellite Internet are connected, so may suit someone who can work from home. Bartering is common local practice.

Owners opinion on sustainable features?
The land has many established fruit trees and the field is ripe for cultivation of vegetables. There is a managed eucalyptus patch which provides free firewood and building materials (beams, fence poles, etc.). Water is from the river.

Other?
There is a free bus to the nearest town, about 20 kms away. Also food/ grocery delivery vans to the door. A car is useful, but not necessary. Numerous dirt tracks for off-road walking/ cycling.
