The hamlet ( Bac de la Sala) consists of 4 houses that are inhabited all year - round, but as they each have separate entrances and land and are pointing in different directions, one does not need to see neighbors if one is so inclined.

It is in a beautiful valley, with no farming or agriculture, that is full of wild flowers, including orchids, and butterflies in the spring.

Electricity is generated by a state- of the art new solar system and water is pumped from our own source and stored in large tanks.

The main house has 5 bedrooms and a large rustic open kitchen/ sitting room area and 1 big bathroom.

The annex has 2 spacious multi- purpose rooms, another bathroom and its own little kitchen. It allows to rent part of it for tourists and live in the other part.

It is between 2 villages ( Cistella and Llado) , around 3 km on a dirt track. The villages have primary school, public swimming pool, restaurants and shops. The area is very beautiful, about 40 minutes from the less spoiled beaches of the costa Brava, but also La Garrotxa, the Pyrenees, Girona, Banyoles and Besalu, and only 50 minutes by fast train to Barcelona. The airport is 50 minutes away too.
